Here's a preview of a specimen acquired this year from meteorite dealer Matt Morgan of Mile High Meteorites. My goal late last year 2006 was to acquire a new killer Sikhote-Alin individual to celebrate the up coming 60 year anniversary of the fall Sikhote-Alin on February 12, 1947. My goal was exceeded when Matt emailed me from the Tucson Gem & Mineral show. He said he found a rare 10.4 kilo SA with natural undisturbed fusion crust. I asked him to send photos as soon as he could. The next day I received the photos and immediately asked him to bring it home. Upon his return from the show he shipped it to me. The cool thing about this story is that I knew I was getting a monster SA but had no idea it would happen to arrive here at my home in South Carolina on the Birthday of SA, February 12, 2007.
